Position Title: Senior Sales Manager
Reporting To: Managing Director
Department: Sales
Direct Reports: Multiple Sales Team Members

Minimum 4 Years Of Work Experience Required.

Job Purpose:

The Senior Sales Manager will be responsible for leading the CCI Sales Team. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, enthusiastic and organized. The candidate must be an excellent team motivator and leader with the ability to review, challenge and improve sales process and develop clear strategies to deliver revenue targets.
Within this, you will take a leading role in the review, analysis and re-design of effective systems, processes, structures and tools, ensuring they contribute to the delivery of a high performing sales culture and team.

You will support the Senior Management team to ensure the success of the initial project and continuing to be the driver of continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of sales managers & executives
  • Effectively lead the implementation of the sales effectiveness strategy, which requires forming and implementing strategies at a people, process and system level
  • Develop, implement and monitor sales targets for the entire team
  • Write and implement sales plan and achieve agreed sales targets
  • Prepare weekly/monthly sales reports and prepare bi-weekly sales review documents including KPI analysis of the entire sales team
  • Work closely with Senior Management to ensure an overall show sales strategy is in place and subsequently delivered on for each show
  • Establish effective communication lines with the respective show teams
  • Ensure that all sales team members have a clear understanding of the sales strategy, all targets and its measurements
  • Perform regular reviews of all sales team members, particularly new team members in their settling in period but also across all existing team members to ensure sales performance is at its optimum level
  • Train new skills as well as coach and develop improvements to skill levels across the sales team on an ongoing basis
  • Ensure that any bonus, incentive, reward & recognition schemes meet the needs of and drive forward a high performing sales force
  • Develop, communicate and monitor effective KPI’s to ensure clarity around team member behaviour and sales performance expectations
  • Identify and specify all reporting requirements to enable comprehensive sales management/analysis
  • Work with the Senior Management to provide clear and informative metrics

Ideal candidate profile:

  • A highly driven and enthusiastic sales professional
  • Strong sales background in a service industry is mandatory
  • Work experience within the exhibition industry is a competitive advantage
  • Work experience with or comparable CRM tools is a competitive advantage
  • Demonstrable experience in formulating strategies and supporting and driving change to improve performance
  • Proven experience in the identification and implementation of effective sales systems
  • Experience in sales process engineering and the successful implementation of new processes
  • Proven success with sales people management to drive best practice and deliver a high performing sales culture
  • Ability to understand the complexities of introducing and implementing sales management reports
  • Able to clearly communicate at all levels and influence key stakeholders
  • Strong decision maker
  • Educated to degree level and higher

Organisation Environment:

Comic Con India (CCI) was started with an inaugural show in February of 2011 in Delhi. The first ever Indian Comic Con as it was called then was hosted at the open-air craft bazaar, Dilli Haat, in the capital. Held over 2 days, it featured 25 exhibitors and attracted close to 5000 visitors.

Over the years since – Comic Con India expanded to 5 cities – Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad & Pune. And attracted over 1,50,000 visitors cumulatively with over 1000 exhibitors at our shows (2015 Figures).
From inception, we have steadily expanded the scope of our events by involving the various industries that can help expand popular culture. We plan to continue reaching many more communities of dedicated fans as well as bringing our unique events to many more cities in India
