Business Development Executive

Job description
The Lead Development Sales Executive is responsible for prospecting, qualifying and generating new sales leads & converting them. This individual will be a highly motivated, self-starter able to identify and develop new business prospects from multiple sources including inbound marketing leads, prospect lists and individual research. A dynamic personality with a drive to reach decision makers is essential.

To actively call & prospect new clients via e-mail and telephone, generating leads to promote and sell Comic Con India India Shows
Follow up on leads provided by marketing team and convert into sales
Qualify contacts from web registrations, promotions, events and other marketing and sales activities and conduct research to identify appropriate exhibitors within the target market
Accurately record all sales activities in the CRM tool
Manage the database professionally, accurately and responsibly in order to provide the best possible service to both internal and external customers
Develop strong relationships with exhibitors by understanding and responding to their needs
Report back on market research obtained
Meet and/or exceed individual sales targets
Any other duties requested by the Sales Head.


  • 1-2 years’ experience in a sales environment
  • A proven track record in presales/sales related activities or in market research
  • Experience of maintaining a database system
  • Exhibition industry experience (desirable)

Technical Skills and Knowledge:

  • Bilingual – English and any other local language applicable
  • Prospecting, lead generation
  • Ability to close sales
  • Excellent client service skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Computer skills in particular Excel
  • Ability to clearly articulate information to customers
  • Ability to stay focused and be productive within tight timeframes
  • Effective time management skills
